How Peak Private Dining collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: 24 August 2026
Peak Private Dining ("we", "us", "our") provides private chef and home dining services across the Peak District. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or enquire about a booking, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to peakprivatedining.co.uk and any enquiry made through it.
When you submit an enquiry through the booking form, we collect the information you provide us directly: your name, email address, phone number, preferred date, party size, and any details you choose to add about your event, dietary needs, or allergies. We don't ask for payment details through this website — those are arranged directly with you once a booking is confirmed.
Like most websites, our hosting platform (Netlify) automatically collects some basic technical information from every visitor, such as browser type, general location, and pages viewed, to keep the site running securely. We don't use this to identify individual visitors.
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, discuss and arrange your private dining event, and handle any before- or after-event communication relating to your booking. We don't use your details for marketing emails or newsletters unless you separately ask us to keep you updated, and we never sell or rent your information to anyone.
We process your enquiry details on the basis of legitimate interest — responding to a booking request you've initiated — and, where you provide sensitive information such as allergies or dietary needs, on the basis of your explicit consent given by including it in your message. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.
Your enquiry details are seen by Ryan Bland as the person responsible for Peak Private Dining, and are stored and processed via Netlify, our website hosting and forms provider, who act as a data processor on our behalf under their own security and data protection commitments. We don't share your information with any other third party, and we don't use it for advertising or profiling.
We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as it's needed to arrange and deliver your event, plus a reasonable period afterwards in case of any follow-up, and to meet our own bookkeeping and tax obligations. Enquiries that don't turn into a booking are generally deleted within 12 months.
This site uses only the essential cookies needed for it to function correctly, set by our website platform, Netlify. These don't track you across other websites. If that ever changes — for example, if we add visitor analytics — we'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, to ask us to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, just get in touch using the details below. If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
This website and our services are intended for adults arranging private dining events. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the way we collect or use information changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, we're happy to talk it through.
